My company has iniated green card processing and got my perm LCA approved today. For I140 am planning to do premium processing considering on planning to move out of this company soon.Is it safe to premium processing or do ordinary one ?.any idea how much time it takes to know the decision for premium processing?
The company can rescind your i140 if you transfer out within 6 months of getting it. Many don't, but they could. Consider waiting six months after it's approved before leaving.
Should I ask my immigration team how long I should stay before moving out after approval of I40?
From what I know your priority date is retained even if the company withdraw after I141 is approved. The new company will have to go through the whole process again but your priority will the original date
How about at least keeping the priority date? I'm fine with losing and reapplying for the i140 as long as I keep my priority date. I'm in the same situation as OP.
Priority date is retained.
Yeah I140 has to be approved. My bad! But once approved, I don't think we have stay with the company for 6 months
I140 approved means 'getting' the i140 right?
Get it done under premium processing. It’s definitely worth it!
worth doing it. I convinced my manager, on his approval the attorney filed for premium processing. Took about 18 days.
How long does it take to get perm from the day you started progressing?
~3 months
You got your PERM approved in 3 months ? That’s a record for me it took ~8 months.
