If LinkedIn sold trend data (not user data) would financial firms buy it?
Or do they already know everything there is to know? Ex. They keep track of private planes so they can predict mergers, use satellites and drones to see everything, can predict the weather better than industry can, etc. It seems LinkedIn has unique knowledge of world economy just based of job stats and info.
They keep track of private planes? What?
It's not hard to track planes registered to specific entities (data available) using ADS (data available) and mapping against corporate HQ locations (data available).
They already sell that kind of trend data for that exact reason
Who sells this type of data?
Can predict weather better than industry can?
I guess Payroll data and LinkedIn data are different. the latter can include more personal attributes.
Am almost certain that they sell or use tons of these stats already
