Is it a good idea to let manager know about ur intentions after u have an offer and during h1 transfer process? I don’t want to take up new projects at this stage
Nope
Your manager is loyal to company than you. I won't. But if any new tasks probably I would take a vacation or put to it aside.
You can still work for sometime after the H1B goes through but if it doesn't you've ruined things at your current workplace
If your manager was half as thoughtful and concerned as you are, you wouldnt have probably left in the first place. Manage up until the very end.
Don’t. Even if you trust your manager, you’re putting them in the same crappy situation you’re uncomfortable being in. This is your cross to bear.
I’m in the same boat right now but I’ve been advised by multiple people to not tell even co-workers until my two weeks notice. Even tho I maintain a really good relationship with my manager and my co-workers and as much I hate everyday going to work and faking that I’m all in for the project but it’s my career and I don’t want to take that risk. At the end people know everyone someday has to move on and being on an h1b makes it even more difficult to be open about your future plans. Don’t do it.
Nice! What is your expected timeline from the time of signing the offer to giving notice? Mine is almost a month since I signed
Did you give your 2 weeks notice yet? I singed two weeks ago and still waiting on approval. I’m hoping it does’t take more than 3 weeks since singing.
Don’t /poll
