Is blind just 4chan for professionals?

I primarily use this app to anonymously chat with colleagues in our company forum discussions. But, when I venture into the external conversations, I’m finding a lot of sexist, racist, homophobic, and just douchey things. It feels like an alternate universe where being a toxic dudebro is championed 😅

I’m not in the tech industry - I literally work in marketing for a research org.

Perhaps it’s just hypersensitivity that makes some people interpret everything as sexist, racist, homophobic, or douchey.

Nah, if the only place you can get away with the language you use is an anonymous forum, you’re the asshole.

Perhaps that’s because the anonymity provides a layer of true protection for freedom of speech that otherwise doesn’t exist in the workplace.

It's mostly conservative snowflake tech employees looking for a safe space

Yeah I didn’t realize it was mainly an app for tech people until I started exploring diff topics. I work in social media marketing and understand 5% of these convos 😅

Yep, the only place they feel safe expressing their views these days is an anonymous forum. I avoid outside our org like the plague

I truly believe anonymous forums shows the underlying truth about society. All this awful stuff is in the real world too, people just hide it until they can secretly voice their real opinions in places like this.

It’s 4chan for the original users of 4chan who grew up, got kicked out of their moms basement (finally) since the economy sort of improved and mom ran out of money and got a job in tech because tech was the only industry that was willing to employ trolls en masse.
