Is turbotax premier the right one for me?

I have sold stocks with Robinhood (very little), have tax loss harvesting through Wealthfront, and have espp but have not sold yet. Do I use the TurboTax premier?

Start in the free tier and only upgrade if the product tells you “you need to in order to handle your tax situation”, based on the data you enter. I don’t know how nobody gets this.

Sorry never done it before. Is doing it online the same as paying up front and downloading a copy?

Do you mean the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, they’re basically the same thing, in terms of the interface. I don’t know how it works if you prepay for the desktop version. You do not prepay for online. You pay at the end.

Yes.

Tl;Dr; upgrade only when it forces you. Do not upgrade unless TurboTax won't allow you to go forward because your tax situation is more complicated than what you are currently paying for. Often times it will try to make you choose the most expensive version at all times, don't fall for that.

Deluxe can do that too.. as long as you know what form you need to use for filing return and the turbo tax version has it you will be fine. Premier has more guidelines for you btw

Is there an option in turbo tax where you use their most expensive software, get the final tax amount and turn towards to your cpa. And don’t file with turbo tax and not pay them
