I ask this question for a friend. He started his H1B when he worked for company A and get his I-140 approved years ago. Then in 2017 he accepted an offer from company B but was laid off in Dec 2018. His H1B transfer is still in pending due to the two RFE. 2019 is his sixth year of his H1B, but he has his I-140 approved years ago which means he can extend his H1B for every three years. (Correct me if I am wrong) During his 60 days grace period, he got an offer from company C and filed H1B transfer. Now the transfer is pending and he received another offer which is very good from company D. Question, would you think he should accept the offer from company D and file another H1B transfer?
Increments of one year once you hit 6th year and not three years.
Yes, he will be in STATUS as long as his application is pending/approved and not rejected. Each application is executed separately without any ties to each other. This is an advice based on my personal experience and I am not a lawyer :-)
Thank you! I will let him know. It was a though time to him and a good opportunity comes to him now.
Yes. One can have multiple approved H1B. ask your friend to accept best offer.
Thank you! D is his dream company. I hope he can take the offer.
How many unemployment days can you collect on approved i140?
Yes
Thank you!
