$140 / 1 YOE Been resisting the urge to buy a new car for months now, pretty happy to be climbing to 100K net worth.
I hit 100k at 23. But I made less money...
Nice! I'm just doing what I can. Not as frugal as I should be but I'm avoiding big purchases. My rent is high because ladies like a guy who doesn't have roommates or lives in a shit hole.
KoUq26 - I joined facebook at 29. No wonder you work at Amazon.
Do that every year, and invest your savings, and you’ll be a millionaire by 30 in easy mode. Focus on promo every 2 years and with raises you can double it easily too.
You reminded me of my 20s. Rent a room in Fremont near google shuttle for $500 (including all utilities), keep no car and rarely eat outside. Save majority of post tax money to invest in stocks (2013). Have enough money for down payment two years later and house price skyrocketed since then. About 1.5 million net worth now, not including any paper money from Uber.
To each his/her own. I’d be pretty miserable pinching pennies like this, though if you plan on retiring asap then this would be optimal.
I know, but I came from poor. Have a single room in Fremont was way better than my college years (shared a 2b apartment with 7 other roommates). Grateful for google’s generous perks, which kept me from almost any spending other than rent while not feeling uncomfortable. The downside is I don’t have many friends, still single now.
Well done, keep it up and hope that 70 is invested and not sitting in cash.
The important thing is now to get a Robin hood account and Yolo with the rest of the Wallstreetbets community
Ironyman style 😎
Don’t forget to enjoy life a little too.
Congrats! I was at 70K around age 26. Started working at 24. 85K TC back then. Spent $25K on a one year old used car that I loved. Now at 800K+ TC and $4M+ NW approaching 40/15 YOE. One thing I would have done differently was to max out my 401k and contribute to IRAs when I was younger.
just hit 10m at 15 my dudes
😂😂
Wow congrats man
Nice
Damn, I should've just said $69K...
You missed your chance. Talk to me when you get to $420k
