I have 2 yoe, here is the offer that they've told me. 120k base 10k sign bonus 25k stock (over four years, 6.250 each year) 13.5k relocation I think the base is alright but the rest sounds low. I didn't graduate from Ivy league. However, I think I did great at onsite interview. I am suspecting that the external hiring company forgot about me for a bit and they might already have some other people accept their offers for the same position. This makes me a bit uncomfortable about counter offering. I do not have any other offers to negotiate with. What should I do? I wanted to commit to msft for a long time but now I am conflicted. Edit: About being forgotten, they told me that I got accepted 2 days after the interview but they only continued the process after I e-mailed them back about how I haven't heard back. I got the offer two and a half weeks after the interview
Have a good understanding of your talent and then take it.
Low offer for stock and bonus. Doesn't hurt to ask to raise it. If you have no better options, take it and keep interviewing. If you care about tc and plan on staying at Microsoft, it will take many years for you to catch up
I feel like Microsoft just doesn’t give a fuck about mid level engineer hires
How would you rate the difficulty level of your interviews based on LC?
Nearly all questions were straight from LC, I'd say there were 1-2 Hard level questions and the rest were Medium level questions. Total of 5-6 Questions throughout the day.
Was it hiring event ? What team ?
It was an hiring event and it is a team that i'll enjoy but i don't want to share that much information if that's okay :)
Okay.
Standard Microsoft low ball industry offer
I'm thinking of negotiating for 125k base, 120k stock and 25k sign bonus. Any opinions? I'll share once I get the results as well.
How did it go? I am in the same boat.
I signed for 120k base, 50k stock and 15k bonus, good luck!
