Leaving Company with approved I-140?

hey, Does it has any advantages to have an I-140 approved? can I leave the company and habe another one continuing the GC process (applying for AOS)? Reason: I consider a job change, external move. I know i would lose my L1 visa but could re-entry on Spousal visa. (L2) and looking for another job. New employer could continue with GC process once I have my priority date. Right or wrong?

L2 visa will be dependent on L1 Visa of your spouse, so if your spouses losses his/her job then? No serious employer would agree to hire someone on L2.

Lol why would they not? My wife is on L2 and currently working at a very reputable company and draws competitive salary. She has been approached and interviewed with any company she desires to. I have never felt her L2 visa status bound her from any opportunity.

So if you lose your job then your wife will by default lose her. Does this not bother the companies?

EB2 priority date is not transferable except in specific circumstances, and you're Indian/chinese

What are these circumstances?

I1485 pending for more than 180 days, and job is the same as the petition was for. Then you restart PERM but are able to retain old priority date.

If there is am approved I 140 priority date can be retained. Not sure of just a perm approval

Don’t need PERM. EB-1...
