Last week been having tons of anxiety. Left my dayjob to grow my consulting company full time, but my girlfriend left me. Really was counting on that support, so it’s been rough. What’ve you guys done as ways to manage the heavy stress working for yourself?
Yeah exercise is a stress management tool you should never neglect
Work hard during the day and destroy hookers at night. Sleep like a baby
Well it's easy to destroy hookers in a consulting job because you travel Monday to Friday. Then you can be a family man on Saturday and Sunday
Agreed
Did your income drop significantly? Or did your WLB change drastically?
It’s actually funny. Income went up about 50% but it was a risk thing. She doesn’t get the entrepreneurial thing. I had clients lined up to go from my previous job so I stepped into a decently full pipe. At least 4 months of steady business.
And WLB is gonna change for sure. I mean got the 9-5 of Consulting work the mornings and evenings of admin and prospecting. Just figured she’d get it
What do you consult on?
GF leaving is good. If she can't support you in "tough" times, its not worth to begin with
Delete Facebook, change numbers, and hit the gym dummy
Giving up works wonders
But really tho, stay in shape and keep in touch with your support network
