I just had an amazon onsite interview for a L6 Sr. Program Manager role last week and I am waiting to hear the outcome. On Friday I got a offer for a Director position at another company for 178.5k base, 18% Annual Bonus, 90k sign on bonus and 125 stocks vested over 4 years at 25% vested each year. It is for a smaller furniture company, and not too sure in overally company outlook past 2 years. Should I let the recruiter know I have an offer from another company now or try and wait to see if Amazon offers me? I was informed I have until EOD Wed to accept and I have pushed back and asked to have til Friday. Also I am asking for the following at Amazon, is this reasonable? Should I ask for more? Base - 154k Sign On - 110k over 2 years RSU’s - 104 Thanks, YOE: 9 Master of Science in Information Systems MBA, IT Managerment PhD - Data Science - In Progress PgMP, PMP, CSM certified **Update - Amazon let me know they are considering me for 5 open roles and if the interview went well, I could potentially pick the specific position I want.
Wait, also you are at senior level. Harder to fill your type of position.
Updated my original post - The recruiter let me know they were considering me for 5 open roles in the same department
Wow...congrats and good luck!
I would take the director role as l6 isn’t that much of a leadership position and pay will probably be $225k total. L6 program managers range from ppl with 2 years exp to 15 year’s
I would wait on giving them any numbers or details. As a blanket rule you never go first.
Cool, I know I let them know I had 1 other interviewing going when I started the process. Could I just let them know I got an offer, they want an answer by Wednesday and I have asked to have Til Friday? Nothing more than that?
If they are a good recruiter they will ask you for the numbers. You should have a response ready for that
