I have a LinkedIn onsite coming up for staff position. I have two rounds for "Infrastructure Design & Implementation". First round is "Concurrency" and Second round is "Data Structures & Algorithms". Does anyone know what kind of questions we should expect in these two rounds? If anyone gave interview recently onsite, can you DM me?
Glassdoor had all the questions I was given for a different role. Maybe they'll have yours.
OP, did you get any more info? I have one coming up soon for Infra track. I can PM you if that works better
I finished staff Infra onsite. Ended up having 1 coding + 1 system design + 2 Infra Design & Architecture + 1 Craftmanship + 1 host leader (Hiring Manager kind of). All round went fine, except 1 Infra Design & Architecture. Overall i found the interview process is more leaning towards system design + architecture and also heavy weight on the craftmanship (code/system quality, ramping junior eng on team and other stuff that i think very few company cares during interview process but matters a lot on a day to day life). Overall i liked the process. Also it seems engineers are much more relaxed and very good wlb. Also they are also expecting to reuse lot of existing technology instead of building it self and that's also something engineers were pushing during system design rounds.
Looks like you did well
I have one coming up for infra track. Would you be able to PM me for some help?
I believe too but interviewer are God in this case doesn't matter what you think :p
Outcome?
They came back with Sr software eng offer which is way below then my other offers so not moving forward.
Hey, another quick bother - how long it took for you after on site to know the outcome? I’m in the same boat interview wise, but my recruiter knows I’m doing onsites with few companies this week, so guessing he’s strategically delaying.. it’s been 5 business days..
Don’t ask why I told him/her.. I don’t have an answer, guess it was a pretty dumb decision to let him know..
LI has hiring committee reviews on certain days, Friday being one of them. The host manager has to collect the feedback from all interviewers and be ready to present your case before the HC. If they know there is no urgency, things move a little slowly.
Which role , staff SWE ? I m surprised if you are a general or FS SWE why would you have infra design
