Been in tech consulting for 5 years. About to start my MBA and am hoping to pivot to product management at FAANG. Any advice on things to focus on during my MBA, classes to take, opportunities to seek out, etc.?
Just wanted to share a profile I found on Rooftop Slushie. This guy holds MBA and now working at Amazon as a Product Lead. https://www.rooftopslushie.com/member/u2hfl0Y2qN6c
Hope Deloitte is paying for your school. Not worth it otherwise. https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbestechcouncil/2018/05/29/do-i-need-an-mba-to-be-a-product-manager-in-tech/
Assuming this is a full time MBA, start a startup while you're in school. Make sure to enter competitions and try to get some meaningful metrics and funding. There's so many MBAs at FAANGS who studied entrepreneurism but have no idea how to do anything but push paper around
Yes, I'm doing a full-time program at Wharton. Will definitely keep an eye out for competitions and opportunities to start a new company. Thank you!
Is tech consulting related to PM? Deloitte just helps tech assessment, deployment and training, doesn’t it?
