What does a machine learning engineer actually do? How is it different from regular SWE role? How to love from SWE to ML? If anyone has done this switch, please share experience.
What do they do?
google it
They make bad assumptions about the real world based off spurious correlations
They are closer to DS than SWE.
Agreed. They use machine learning tools and algorithms written by better devs, and then just spend their time justifying their existence by plugging in different combos of data, pretending that they're machine learning experts. Despite never having written anything themselves
I thought they were closer to swe than ds. The interview process for swe and mle is similar, but a ds interview is very different
They bring water and towels for the SWEs
Why you wanna move? I heard it’s not that high paying compared to SWE...
More interested in it? Lmao that's a thing
Is it really not that high paying? I thought it is
