I wake up thinking I’d go for a nice drive and turns out my bumper got scraped all over one side last night. Plastic bumper cracked and looks terrible but structurally intact.
This’ll probably cost me $1000 to fix.
I do have comprehensive coverage and a $500 deductible, but is it worth the premiums I’d have to pay in the long run?
What the Blind think?
- How did you get the scrape? what happened is important because it determines if you use your compressive or collision coverage. If the accident falls under comprehensive coverage, your rates won’t go up. If you use your collision coverage and it is determined that you are at fault, your rates will likely increase.
- I have faced this twice. This usually falls under the uninsured insurance. It doesn't count towards your collision or comprehensive coverage. With Geico, it just had a $300 deductible. I paid $300 on each of my claims and Geico covered the rest. Insurance never went up because it was a no fault claim.
- New ktFx33Try to find the color number and fix yourself IMO unless it’s a newer car like 2015+
