I got offer letter from amazon and i am trying to reach recruiter for some additional followup ( she agreed to increase the rsu portion). Is this comon ? Very unethical on amazon part. Which leadership principle is this ???
That would be the Patience principle 😂
My offer expires in 2 days and i already waited for 5 days .
Send another follow-up email. Must've been lost in the inhox feed.
I did . Still no response.
You can also reach out to the hiring manager if you have thier contact. Must be easy to find on linked in.
They need you more than you need them. Just wait and they would come with better offer
LOL that was funny
Leadership principles were big part of the interview and i was told that amazon employees take them very seriously. But recruiter behavior suggests that its just BS .
How long has it been? Could be the recruiter is trying to finalize the improved offer details before replying back. Could be the recruiter has a family emergency or work offsite or something delaying response.
My offer expires in a day and i have been following up since 4 days . If someone is on leave a simple out of office email trigger will do with backup details
OOFs by default don’t go external
On behalf of Amazon I apologize. This is a very poor customer experience. If your point of contact included a phone number in his/her email signature line, I think it's acceptable to call directly given the circumstances.
I did call the recruiter . Twice in last 4 days. I really liked the team that i was going to work with , otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered her .
Can you reach out to anyone else?
Similar happened to me and also some time ago someone here on Blind was complaining about "no response". This is their way to figure out how desperate you are. So write just once!!! and wait until they respond you.
This 100%. My buddy went almost 2 weeks after onsites without hearing anything, he emails that he got an offer from FB and was just following up, and they sent him an offer same day.
Recruiter may be in Hawaii taking a vacation without giving proper heads up or transfer of work
Do you have any other amzn contacts ? Ping them and you might be able to get somewhere. LP : Ownership
That’s opposite of customer obsession that is not being obsessed at all with ‘to be new hires’. Sorry to hear that..
OP isn’t a customer. Imagine how OP is treated an an employee. This should be setting off major alarm bells.
