Update: I was only able to negotiate stock component. Got from 3500 -> 4000 rs I really like the NYC, but doesnt look like I’m getting many opportunities like this. Should I go from NYC (tech in IB) to Seattle? And how hard will it be to switch back to NYC after an year? Original Post: Just got numbers from Hiring Manager. Was told this is the top of the range Postion: IC2 Location: Seattle Base: 140k Stock: 3500 rsu (~200k) —> 4000 rsu (~226k) over 4 years, vested equally Signing: 30k Relocation: 10k TC: 210k / year Yoe: ~2 Background: Interviewed and passed for ic3, but because of yoe less than minimum required, getting ic2 level. However, hm said to keep me on top range for ic2 Thinking of giving 150k base and 5000 rsu as counter (TC: ~220k) Does this sound good?
Sounds legit. I am a bartender myself.
You have 2yoe. 200k is an incredible deal. Take it. Or counter.... What's the worst that'll happen? (they'll pull the offer)
They won’t pull the offer if you counter? They’ll just say no to your counter. Don’t scare people
That’s a solid offer tbh
HM is correct. That offer is maxed out. If you can a counter-offer, bring it to the table to negotiate.
Yep, this is top tier. Your Hiring Manager is being honest. Anything higher is going to require SVP approval and a business justification, low chance to negotiate higher
Is there a hard number limit you know of?
Congrats! Maybe more stock? Everything else is top tier
What's the minimum yoe required for ic3?
They said for lateral hire, it’s 4 years
Mind sharing about your on-site experience?

I got 5200 rsu as newgrad ic2. Trybpush more for stock. Rest components are maxed out indeed.
Were your other components in the similar range? Or did the high rsu compensate for low base/sign on?
Same as yours. Also 10k relocation was after tax
