Last year, I signed a contract with Oracle. They did not pay the last 12 days of my engagement. They still owe me $14,400. What do you think? @Oracle #oracle #bademployer #fraud #violation #misclassification #unpaid
What state? If CA, rat them out here: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/HowToFileWageClaim.htm
File a complaint with the Department of Labor.
Yes I reported them to Labor Commissioner for misclassification and unpaid wages last summer. LC said it will take another 6 mo. I need my money now, should I go to the medias?
Call the HR department dude.
What’s their number?
Are you a consultant? If you are a FTE then you got to be paid?!
"signed a contract"
He’s a contractor. I’m also starting to think from his outrage and game plan that he doesn’t know what he is doing. Made almost half a million but freaking out over pennies. Which is his pennies to worry about, but I’m reading some serious contradictions.
$438K/Year , wow! You were well paid. You may be next to Mark for being highest paid employee
Lol Good luck with all that. The media isn’t going to just take your word for it. They don’t want to get sued by ORACLE either.
What word, it’s a signed contract, with emails and declined payments. EDD also identified me as their common law employee. Misclassification added. I think the workforce should know that Oracle is an employer that does not pay. I think their stock price should reflect their fraudulent practices. Medias are protected by law, they can’t be sued for reporting documented facts. Why are you so afraid?
If you don’t think this happens ten times a day at Oracle, you’re wrong. If this guy didn’t get paid, it wasn’t a mistake. Oracle either has some legal reason that he isn’t getting paid, or he will get paid in 60-90 days.
Is there anybody from Oracle who can make constructive comments and help with the resolution?
If you have already filed a wage claim, pause and let DIR work their magic. Plan your next steps based on the outcome. Of course, it never hurts to talk to a lawyer.
Thank you. Along with the unpaid wages, I’m reporting the misclassification to the IRS. DIR said they will have to pay unpaid wages + penalty fees totaling $34k. EDD collect their contributions for my unemployement benefits but I was sent a 1099. The audit with the IRS will unravel more. I’m interviewing other contractors at Oracle to collect any trends of misclassification + unpaid wages. I’m surprised that Oracle does not pay their employees wages, it’s the law!!
Just file a wage claim with EDD. They will owe a literal shit ton to you in fines. You don't have to do anything but show up to the hearings, the state will represent you. My wife did this and wound up getting months of pay for just a few days unpaid because of fines. California doesn't screw around when it comes to labor law.
They won’t pay , sue them and they have lawyers to fight against you .. better to forget about the money
Better is to talk to journalists, I agree.
This is the worst advice I can think of.
