PayPal contractor AWF to Full-Time
Curently Software engineer contractor (AWF) @ PayPal. Was recently offered full-time at PayPal and I don't know many folks that have gone through the process so was just wondering what was anyones experience like being converted from an AWF to fulltime? the timeline, the process.
Such conversions are lowballed usually. Have a competitive offer to negotiate better.
Timeline depends on your visa status. Background check takes 2-3 weeks
OP, did the contractor company had a non compete clause that wouldn't allow you to work as FTE for the client for a period of time? If so, how was that handled? Thx!
You just don't tell the contracting company you got converted to an FTE. Also make sure all your bills are settled with your contracting company before notifying them
