I received RFE for "specialty occupation" for this year H1B. Anyone on the same boat? Both Bachelors and Master's in Computer Science..working as software engineer now!
RFE is a joke these days !!
I think you should cross the border and try crossing illegally. Then you will have the support of the liberals and the Democrats atleast. And educated guy with a MS in CS is supposed to be rich (hence no liberal sympathy) and is supposed to take away the job of an average Joe with barely high school education (republican logic). What a screwed up immigration policy we have in this country!!
Don't forget to bring your entire family for extra sympathy points
Which company are you joining ?
Not H1B transfer...for this year H1B lottery..
Seriously, pathetic ๐๐ผ
same boat. cs undergrad, cs masters, working as sde
Same here, what is your SOC code and Wage level. I saw a couple of appeal against USCIS for denial in this category. They literally said, "position requires bachelors in Computer Science, mathematics or Information Systems. It's not specific enough. " They are expecting the position to have only one major as the requirement to make it SO. If you have to prove parallel companies employing the same occupation to require at least a bachelors. My SOC 15-1199 WL2 TC:85k

Are you a direct employee of your company or via contract?
Direct
In the same boat. The lawyers explained to me off the record that USCIS is under pressure to issue more RFEs so they are picking random candidates for these RFEs under specialty occupation
I received long back on May.
Wtf?
