One thing that's clear from the report is that the Russians interfered extensively and changed the outcome of the 2016 election. I think sometimes people lose sight of the fact that this was an investigation into Russian interference and only ended up investigating Trump because he collaborated with the Russians and then tried to interfere in the investigation.
Here are the facts: 1. The Russians did interfere w the election, and they wanted Trump to win, but it: hard to say whether that actually changed the outcome of the election. It’s mainly recognized that it did not alter the outcome. 2. Obama knew Russians were interfering in US elections since 2014 but did nothing 3. Trump did not collude w the Russians 4. Trump wanted to obstruct the investigation but thankfully he had people around him who went against his bad instincts. Even so, there was no underlying crime.
#3 is an opinion. The result concluded that they did not have enough evidence to charge him with collusion. They did not say collusion did not occur. This is not being found innocent, and it isn’t that it didn’t happen is deciding not to press charges, and saying there isn’t enough info to decide. #4 is similar. The redacted report makes clear that there is evidence of obstruction activity but whether or not charges should be filed was left to Congress. Bar took it upon himself to say that this meant he was cleared to obstruction. Also not the same.
Except Trump didn’t collaborate with the Russians. And that every significant country likely runs disinformation campaigns during American elections, just like we do in theirs. The question is whether people take the bait, which they didn’t in this case.
Except he did and it's well documented. He didn't engage in a criminal conspiracy, but he certainly collaborated extensively with them, asking them for help, providing them with confidential polling data to help them help him, making deals to get their support.
You are delusional if that’s your interpretation of the Mueller report.
Investigation = Democrat FBI leadership coup attempt. Interference = trying to stop coup attempt.
Nope. It's just corrupt behavior and it's illegal. Had Trump not had a criminal mind he would have let Mueller do his work in peace and Mueller would have cleared him. Trump committed the crimes on his own because of the deficiencies in his personality, because he has a criminal mind.
The investigation was fraudulently predicated. Indictments are coming.
Who cares? Trump supporters wouldn’t care even if collusion was proven. Most anti-Trump voters are more angry about his terrible policies and statements. The media like things like this because it feeds the news cycle for weeks and weeks without really requiring any journalistic work. The DNC liked this because they could attack Trump from the right (unpatriotic Trump) instead of going after his policies which would end up empowering the growing left-wing sentiment of their base.
The question is how independents and moderate Republicans react. Trump can't win with only his base. He needs independents to vote for him, and he needs moderate Republicans to vote and not sit at home in disgust and not vote With people like Romney calling his criminality sickening there's a faction of Republican voters who did vote for him in 2016 who could decide to stay home in 2020. It's also going to be tough to get the independents out to vote for a crook.
Putin owns 🇺🇸 now or atleast Trump and consequently all the blind 🐑 Republicans. Make Russia Great Again !!
Are you that delusional?
