AFFECTED
Terrible company name
Around 20, including a new grad who just started working 6 months ago.
Seriously? Yikes
The layoffs made perfect sense with the way the company is refocusing efforts and improving performance. It was 20 people, but that’s only around 3% of the company. All that being said, there are 60 open roles (around 10% of the company). Hiring isn’t stopping or slowing down. There was just a lot of re-designing the way we work and focusing or finding the right people for growth and the right projects.
how do you know those future project is more “right” than previous ones? after all those engineers leaving (around ~30%) before & afterwards, “layoffs made perfect sense”?? I wonder how will the company backfill those senior/staff/principal roles...
We had more layoffs today, under the new company J2 Global. The place is just dying slowly but surely. All of the previous good leaders are gone now. Pushed out! DON'T JOIN THIS COMPANY, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I will have codility to complete this week. Should I or not. ?
It is not a stable company any longer, all leaders gone and more changes and layoffs are likely to happen.
How does that company still make money?
Selling user data I guess. I haven't used that site in a decade.
Actually no data is sold. Money comes from a lot of different sources/products. Arrangements are made with vendors on bringing shoppers to them by finding offers to save money as well as using manual and automated ML to find offers and deals. The main money maker is still the good old CTR
