Planning to do a road trip from Bay Area to Yellowstone and back next week. Anyone who has done that before? Or is it too crazy an idea ?
We, a group of 5ppl did it ...get ready for crazy driving. We covered it over a long weekend.
So you spent your long weekend in a car?
Tim Apple giving you too much free time?
I've done nine states in nine days and started off in the Bay area and ended up in Yellowstone. But first, went down to SoCal, over to Vegas, hit up Zion and Grand Canyon, and made our way up north. Fun trip if you have the right people in the car.
Nice ๐๐
Have you tried concierge service? Heard good things about them.
Have done it. Took approx 17 hours. Started early in the morning and reached there at around 11 pm. It was a great experience. While coming back, did the same.
I have done that. You can get tour bus from Cupertino for that.
Why? Yellowstone is huge, and a shame to rush it. Fly and spend your time enjoying the park. There are tons of animals and geological wonders to see. Road trip to grand caynon or Utah instead
Done it before. If you love driving, go for it. But it's not a one day drive, don't try to do it in a day. A couple of days to just drive so you can enjoy the road too which is the whole point of driving. Otherwise, just fly.
