What are some roles similar to data scientist, analytics at Facebook? I recently interviewed and didn't clear the Interview..I really wanted to work at Facebook but I'm sure there's a cool off period.. Since I'm not much into ML, looking for roles similar to the ds, analytics in companies other than fb.. All the roles I see at other companies need lots of experience in ml. I really want to move out of my current job.

All the interviews are Amazon principles based right? The last 2 years I've basically done reporting and I feel I can't present that in any flashy way..

Flashy isn't important at Amazon. You just need to able to demonstrate that you can take a complex data problem and tell a story with it.

At Netflix I think they call them Analytics Engineers. At Google it seems inconsistent, but I've seen Product Analyst and Analytics Lead. In general the industry uses data science really inconsistently. Some companies use DS for their analyst roles, others use it for more stat roles, that do LR, RF, Kmeans, etc. Then other companies use it to mean ML scientists.

Oh interesting.. I don't even read past stuff like 'analytics engineer' thinking they need experience with big data, click stream etc. Will look at those roles..

All the data is big now. To get in the door you mostly need good SQL skills and work experience. Python, R, Spark, etc are all nice to haves, but aren't likely the day to day. For better or worse, SQL will dominate your days for any of these positions at all these companies.
