I have an on-site with Goldman Sachs in NJ office for a Senior backend software engineer position. This is for Equities team. Please share any tips or guidelines that will be helpful to me for the interview. Thank you in advance! FYI, there is no equities/secdiv in NJ. Its all NY. If there is it's back office.
Yes the position is in NY office. The interview is in NJ. Could you share your thoughts?
What team(s) are you interviewing ?
I was told it's for Equities team. If you are okay, I will DM you.
You say you are tech. So assuming it's tech equities, unless you are ready to do brunt work/support and sacrifice learning, I would run away. Equites/Ficc was good before when they actually built products which brought it's share of good eng problems. Now mostly the products are bought and the work is to build configuration around it and support it.
How were their phone interviews? A recruiter reached out to me for a role within Equities in their Singapore office and I’m considering it. Would love to gauge their difficulty level and process.
DM me. I will share my experience.
I add Rooftop Slushie question here too.
Work at a real tech company
I prefer Goldman Sachs though!
You will repent later
