Salary for a novice cloud engineer
Curious, what's the going salary for a novice cloud engineer? I'm getting 124k and like to know if I'm at a good rate. What do senior cloud engineer/architects get? Just want an honest answer.

I think it’s decent for the Philly area and 1 YOE. Peak new grad TCs I’ve seen on Blind are about 200k working at Facebook HQ. Of course a lot of these people also say they have to work 50+ hours per week, so there’s that too.

Better than me to start. I'm over 15 years in the game and and having issues finding staff position even paying this well.
What is it a cloud engineer does? Just run the AWS cli to launch infrastructure? Or are you actually designing the systems that for your software and telling the devs how to create the software to work on it? Are you designing / writing infra related services?
If they are junior. Basically using the cli to build and manage acl's and tokens. Every company is different though.
Iaas we design everything from running AWS cli command via lamda scheduled functions or one off cloud formation scripts. It's like everything that a sys admin/engineer would do, but written in pyton/yaml base code. It's pretty cool. You just want to make sure what you're able to do manually can be done as automated.
