Salesforce 4 month contract offer

So this offer is through an agency to work at Salesforce headquarters as an SMTS. I would make $100/hr and have to relocate to San Francisco.

Currently I make $138k base in charlotte, NC. I would say with 401k match, bonus, etc 150k TC. I work as a consultant for a Salesforce partner.

I spoke with someone from Salesforce during the technical interview and I said I felt being in a 4 month contract would be risky and he said that there’s a good chance you will be hired on full time if you do well. They are growing contractors and FTE for the team I’m joining according to him. It’s for a quote to cash team. But he wasn’t the hiring manager so he couldn’t consider me for full time or contract he was just there for the technical interview.

Should I accept the $100, reject it and apply directly, or find the technical guy on LinkedIn and let him know I will turn down the contracting offer but ask him if I can be referred to a hiring manager for FTE?

I have 13 Salesforce certifications and 5 years experience (all development on the platform).

If you add all the benefits you will lose, and the costs with moving for a 4-6 month contract , you will realize that you are losing money.. also contractors are easy to fire 🔥

Too risky to move your life for this. It's not like Salesforce pays it's full timers well. 150k in NC seems solid.

It is comfortable but to move up I feel I will have to start working at big tech companies. I didn’t receive a raise this year so I think my salary is capped in NC. Maybe start at Salesforce for a couple years then explore other options in the Bay Area

I’m not sure I follow the logic here. I would say they want partners because it expands their reach. They want to provide the platform for businesses. They don’t want to be consultants for every little business

Stay at 150k in NC. Or find something else in NC that pays more.
