😢😢 I don't want to work for Microsoft but I do want to work with Salesforce. Do I screw over Microsoft ? Microsoft start date is in two months just enough time to complete h1b transfer and background check. What do I do ? TC, 127k Workex, 1.7 years New TC, 210k
If you're on h1b, I wouldn't risk it. Salesforce will still be around in a year.
Get an offer and make CRM pay for your pain and suffering of burning bridges with MSFT
You wouldn't be screwing over Microsoft. If you would be happier at salesforce, nobody will blame you. Just be respectful of everyone and you'll be fine. But with only 1.5 years of experience, I would strongly question your conviction that the work culture is "much better." At this point in your career, you barely know what work culture is much less how to differentiate good from bad.
Strongly agreed. And from an insider: Salesforce culture isn't even that great. They have great work life balance and cash-heavy TC, that's it. The engineering standards suck here.
And they are better at msft?
Mind sharing Microsoft offer and level?
Both are extremely bad companies. You’re better off using Msft wlb to apply to Tier-1 the coming year. Don’t rest. Good luck!
Says a dude from red hat
While I agree that salesforce is a little better than MS overall, I wouldn't risk visa processing for that. If I were you , I would join MS and look for G or LinkedIn after 2 years for culture and pay.

Why would it risk visa processing?
What are the offers?
Reaching out isn’t an offer. Who’s to say it works out?
Bullet.
What’s your level at Microsoft?
62
Can you share the offer breakdown?
Curious what about SFDC appeals to you more than MSFT?
Culture way better !
What’s wrong with out culture? (Outside of specific teams)
