You are more likely to get hired on the behavior questions than coding. Yes, you need to pass that part by solving the problem. Show that you learn from your mistakes, are adaptable to interpersonal conflict, and that you are flexible.
We don't have a generalized interview process the way Google and Facebook do. Each team basically chooses its own set of interview questions and style, for better or worse.
