I have offers from Salesforce, Zillow, and Square. They are similar in terms of tc (320k) yoe: 11. What do you think is the best choice for career growth, company culture, etc.
Definitely not Zillow
Do you mind elaborating why?
Microsoft level now and what role at Salesforce?
63, role in salesforce SMTS in search experience
Wow, 320k as an SMTS? That's really high.
Definitely square
Strongest growth prospect at Square. Zillow would be second in line. Do not make the mistake of going to Salesforce. They ship three times a year, product is a function of sales and progress is measured in no of Dreamforces.
Msft to Salesforce/Zillow is kind of a downgrade unless the profile offered is stellar.
I see your point, but I do not see it as a much downgrade, msft is a platform company so we kinda live in a bubble, going outside this bubble opens a lot of doors for learning new stuff.
Square easily. Huge growth and upside. Zillow sounds fun but I'm not sure about the housing market. There seems to be a storm coming and most real estate stocks are doing badly in the last couple of months. Salesforce is the most established out of the three but the work there doesn't look particularly interesting.
Why are you bragging?
How did you get interviews from all 3? Referrals?
I was so fed up with my current team, I reached out to every contact I know and kinda applied to all relevant jobs I found in LinkedIn, so a mix of referrals and online applications
I suggest Salesforce but you can ask for L level. The benefit is mostly the best WLB. Title does not matter much here but it would help claim ownership and leadership for new projects.
Square
Could you elaborate a little more why?
