Dude, why do you put Microsoft in tier 1? Just because company is doing well doesn't put it in tier 1. Ebay pays way more than Microsoft. So I would argue ebay is better.

Okay I’ll edit Microsoft to be lvl 64+ and will add eBay. I don’t quite believe they pay tier 1 salary though.

How much better does eBay pay? I can't see myself moving to that sinking ship...

I would love to know about eBay TC as well. I hate the feeling of being underpaid.

Expedia should be Tier 3. Their TC is a joke and I got down level when I interviewed. Arrogant pricks.

Don't worry I'm in a better place now where my talents are appreciated.

Tier 1 can be split to 1A and 1B. For example Google and FB pays better than MSFT and AMZN at comparable levels.

Uber is Tier 1? Laughable. They belong in Tier 2 at best.

My buddy works there and makes great money, so I went off personal experience on that one. Maybe he just got lucky? Their IPO this year will decide tier 1 or 2 though, haha

Makes sense. I think overall their Total Comp COULD be good, but they need to go public first.

Their base was like $140k for a “senior” role.

FWIW, I've had offers from Nordstrom, Disney and tmobile and they are much lower than what I'm making at Expedia. I got pretty deep into an opportunity with HBO, and the feeling I got is that we were on par. But whatever, the bands are pretty wide here so maybe in general it's true.

Yeah I only have 1 reference for Expedia and they said comp is good. But the other guy on this thread seemed pretty convinced. I’ll move it back to tier 2

Salary at expedia is average, definitely higher than salary at tmobile though

I would say Expedia pays slightly below median. Not sure if that makes it Tier 2 or 3...

I'm making more at T-mobile than I could have imagined. The sauce is to come in as a consultant. They are long term and huge pay

You should add Tableau to Tier 1b at the lowest. They're very competitive for top TPM talent.
