Why is the Seattle startup scene pretty poor? Looking for logistical reasons.
VCs are here, but the population is mainly from established companies like Microsoft and Boeing which is risk averse and mean age is 10years higher than SV so the drive isnt the same. Mostly single earners too so bread earner is even more risk averse looking for stability rather than risky startups.
Because Seattle doesn’t invest in the shit the Valley does. Enterprise and cloud, not Uber but for something your mom used to do for you.
People in Seattle are too content with their upple middle class lifestyles. Theirs not many VCs and the culture just ain't there.
