Whats the cost of living diff between two places. If am earning 250K total in Seattle then how much do I need to enjoy same life in SFO?
According to this it’s 20% more overall but 39% more for housing market
It’s mostly driven by housing. More if you want a nice single family house in a good area (can be >100k more). Less if you are living in a studio apartment (perhaps only 50k more).
It depends on your situation. Whether you have a family matters a lot for COL. As a single guy living in a studio apartment, the main difference will be the uptick in rent but that's really not that bad.
I know 4k min rent for 3 bhk in sfo, family with 2 kids, whats that rent in. Seattle?
4k way out of town. If you want a comparable commute it will be like $5-6k.
Sun is free.
250k @ Expedia? Wow
Not in this f company, they don't pay that much, i have valid visa and going through some rounds there
20% more
I would say at least 30%
