TC? YOE? Location? Or GTFO
With LinkedIn last year. Oh god. They were so nice taking me out for a whole team lunch but I did so badly in the interviews, esp during system design and coding. Smh. But I am re-interviewing onsite next week lol
I meant to say “whole gamut” but instead I said “smut”.
Whenever I interview I make sure to tell the interviewer how I thought the interview went. I am honest if I thought I could have done better at some places. This makes a possibly bad interview less embarrassing and more of a learning experience. I also try to ask for feedback and some good interviewers do give feedback on the spot while the bad ones say 'you can contact the recruiter later'. Let's move to a world where transparency is second nature to people.
Asking the recruiter is the way to go. Why bias yourself and the recruiter in the middle of an interview?
I have gotten much better feedback from the interviewer on the spot rather than the recruiter copy-pasting "while your background was great, the interviewer felt you are not a perfect fit right now, hence we are moving ahead with other candidates". No thanks.
Showed up 30 minutes prior to interview and couldn't find the address. It was a busy area and a lot of small places. (Even Google maps didn't help) Ended up running up and down the block (it was mid summer) for 20 minutes before finding a postman to get help. Showed up at the interview 5 minutes late and absolutely dripping in sweat. Then proceeded to flop the interview
Why so depressed already ? What's shooting down ur confidence. U aced Google once. U can take on any interview.
It's a company which does not need engg anymore and gets millions of applicants. They interview just in case Steve Wozniak happens to be the next applicant. Will give out full details after the interview.
They don't need engg. U r an engg. U r not Wozniak. So why r u applying?
