Recruiter and hiring manager promised they will move me to Canada and bring me back if h1 transfer gets rejected. How does it work in msft? Sde level 60
That's pretty common in MS
So it's fine to join?
I've seen many people join on transfer receipt these days just because it is taking longer times to process. If you don't mind going to Canada and coming back in the worst case, which a few people did in the past when coming here from Europe, you should be fine. I never heard a case where the transfers are rejected when the documentation is good. MS has very good lawyers in this area but check if your documentation is good to be on the safe side. Other than this I think it's worth taking this risk.
You'll get lower salary and higher tax and cost of living in Canada. If you are okay with that, then it's fine.
Msft takes care of people in this situation with the Canada route
Get that promise in writing and then you can believe them. In between, what's the offer?
