Hi All, I need some help in evaluating my MS offer. Base - 160k per year 1 time sign on - 25k Stock - 75k vested over 4 years(18.75 per year) Performance Bonus - Between 0 and 30% of base. I am not to happy with the stock grant. Any tips for negotiation are welcome.
How many years of work ex?
3 years PM and 3 years S/w engineer with an MBA in between.

Do you have a competing offer?
Not right now. I had a FB onsite that did not work out :( I have an Oracle onsite next week. I believe that their comp is much higher.
In the negotiation world nothing works as good as a competing offer.
Is this a competitive offer for Microsoft and the market in general? I am trying to negotiate the stock.

The target yearly stock refresher for L63 is 24k so they are giving you 3x of that. If you have competing offers or a lot of unvested AMZN that could be used as an argument.

Also, it’s almost never 30%. Fair to assume 15% bonus. Sign on can surely be Negotiated. It’s entirely upto HM.
