Take get fired or leave as managed out

Boss told me baecause he needs functional expert. Not in the JD. So he asked me to leave after 8 weeks. He is also helping me to find any internal positions outside this department. It is only 6 months I joined. My worry is do I have to pay my sign bonus back in either conditions?

      Didn’t he/she interview you and found you fit for the job. But 6 months later they aren’t sure. They should mentor you and help you grow unless they don’t know what they are doing.

      Is there a time period? How much is the joining bonus? If you can find another job with a similar joining bonus then probably switch. Otherwise you should search internally and live out the period in the clause

      It is prorated for left over period. 12 months is the period.

      Every company has specific things related to let's say manufacturing, supply chain or something. Experience from previous jobs may be irrelevant in particular scenarios. It takes a bit of time or some one has to coach you along the way. If manager or someone not investing time , you arenot set up for success. It takes bit longer time to figure out. Functional experience come from your learning on the job. Can only be accelerated through mentoring.

Intel spent all this time advertising that they want to grow and retain women and minorities and this is what your boss does? Let's see Intel put its money where its mouth is. If Intel had a high paying/high pressure culture like Netflix, then I would understand your bosses decision. But, this is Intel.
