Take old offer from Google

So, I had an interview for L4 year ago and passed. Proposed TC was 300 and I matched with some weird teams as SRE. Obviously I thought that I'll be very well into 400s in Dropbox very soon and declined. That didn't happened and also some other things happened which hurt my WLB. Now I want to reuse that interview for new offer but match as SWE. Do you think they will try to low-ball me because of dbx struggles? Should I try to negotiate for more or just take whatever offered? I really don't want to Leetcode to try for L5. P.S.: Which teams have better WLB in Google? TC 313k, YOE 10, Bay Area

was that old interview for SRE?

Yeap

You should ask your recruiter. You can tell them that you want to do team match again and you're focusing on SWE roles. As for compensation, the recruiter can request compensation committee but without any counter offers, the odds are low.

Thanks! Considering goog benefits that comp is roughly the same. If team will be nice I will accept anyway.

Might be worth asking for another interview to up level to L5. That should have a pay bump, and it should probably be only 1 or 2 system design, not leetcode.

HR said it will be full round of interviews :(

Aw, that sucks.

300 is already high-end for L4, which means you should pass the L5 bar. Try to get it to L5 and the TC will increase magically

Ok, thanks. Maybe worth a try, should've tried L5 first time.

You can ask the recruiter, but the chance is pretty low unless you re-interview for a higher level. GL!

If your original interview was for SWE-SRE then yeah you can probably as long as it is for same level and a year did not pass.

Assuming you are Senior at Dbx, why would you want to down level? That looks like a red flag on your resume.
