Does it do good? Or does it FEEL good. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=share&v=_rOb_z-yYrU This is the prime difference between left and right. All other distinguishing factors are details that emanate from this prime difference, just like symptoms of a disease. Food for thought.
both are to feel good. it doesn't matter if it's based on morality or logic. in the end, people will pick what's most convenient for them to believe for personal gain or in order to feel like they have a higher ground in something. also why on earth are people taking prager u like some bipartisan analysis of politics lmao, it's quite obviously right leaning.
Lmao this is PragerU bullshit. These people literally support nazis
Sounds like they might be on to some truth if it’s causing you to be so uncomfortable
Lol
Huh. I consider myself liberal but I don't support any of the policies used as examples in that video.
Exactly. You’re a liberal not a leftist. There’s a difference. You might like this: https://youtu.be/Bsba-dNApvw
No, I'm not a classical liberal. I'm in favor of individual freedom and expanded social programs, which I guess makes me a "modern liberal" which is synonomous with "left" in common usage (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_liberalism_in_the_United_States). I think the real difference between liberals and conservatives (left and right) is conservatives attribute a person's success or failure mostly to their work ethic, and liberals mostly to external factors like education or opportunities. This leads to different views on taxes and social programs. Some members of both sides are authoritarian, e.g. conservatives trying to legislate religious morality or liberals trying to ban offensive speech. However authoritarianism seems more mainstream in the Republican party.
Noticed issues in political debates are framed as two sides problems, choose A or B. It is exactly how we solve problems in tech, we check A or B and then meetings became effective, bugs fixed and prod issues gone.
There’s actually a third option. (C) https://youtu.be/Bsba-dNApvw Appreciate your perspective, thanks.
I honestly believe the main difference between left and right political views is that the main stance of the left is that it's worth making some financial loss to guarantee a certain quality of life for all. The main core definer of the right seems more based on what's more beneficial to me and those who are doing better off deserve to be and for those who are not, it's probably their own fault and they are dragging everyone else down.
The thing about left is that it’s worth to make other people suffer financial loss to guarantee a certain quality of life for all.
it's just a matter of view for people. It comes down to a mindset of "we are all in this together" or "we all have to pave our own way".
The difference between left and right is based on the desired amount of equality vs hierarchy in a society. That comes from the French Revolution. Please learn some real history for yourselves rather than watching videos of hot dog-like processed thought by think tanks and crackpots.
Nope, it’s about whether you see yourself as a victim or a victor. The only major difference about the left is that they prefer to create and empower a bully (government) and give it absolute force by confiscating everyone else’s liberty. The bully extracts more and more protection money from you and confiscates your lunch every day, in return for a promise of “handouts” to those who can claim to be “victims”. That is their demented approach to equality. It is baffling that we have such idiots in our society who get fooled and brainwashed into believing this. (!) And when people complain that there’s a bully in the house - they say “what do you have to hide! Only bad people hate this benevolent bully! You have nothing to worry about!!” Do you see the naivety and brainwashing?
Yes I see the naivety and blind ideology: You live in a cartoon libertarian reality. Look up seizure laws set up in the war on drugs. Look up policing and prisons in the US. Look up the seizure of the Southwest by the US government, the confiscation of native lands. Conservatives, establishment-liberals and right wingers supported all of this.
The left welcomes and uses science to further humanity. The right... they lick windows
Wrong. The left is actually against pure science. They only support agenda driven sanctioned science. Watch (Manhattan Institute official video) https://youtu.be/cSxN-61Oguk
So the argument is the right is against science but because scientists don’t lose their jobs it’s not against science? Master level voodoo gaslighting there my friend
I saw this video yesterday and thought it was spot on.
Yep, it is spot on. The examples are well illustrated also. I just wish they included a few more examples.
