Here to stay for Chinese. They go fanatic over their country’s products, nationalism is too strong

What does tiktok do that’s unique
A few months ago, I was contacted by a recruiter about a senior-level management role at TikTok. I'd never heard of it so I downloaded the app. The Home page feed was essentially child pornography. It was totally disgusting. I deleted the app and will never download it again. They should be shut down immediately by the FBI. Needless to say, I declined the interview.
ByteDance is here to stay.

It is I suppose (assuming you mean US). As long as it conforms to local laws (censor, privacy, ...) I don't think it's going to be a problem.
Yikyak was massive and everyone was all about Vine. None of these apps ever offered tangible utility, they are all gimmicks with a short lifespan
Very high variance. Yikyak died from content moderation which TikTok is scaling up (using humans) quickly. Vine also had a similar problem and creator dissatisfaction... we shall see about this but TikTok monetization is going to happen quick. Don’t forget how fast Snapchat and Instagram matured.
