Stay true to the story. Write your own megahits where the main characters are whatever you want them to be. Then film those. Don't fuck the ones we like. https://news.yahoo.com/amphtml/next-007-reportedly-captain-marvel-191635331.html
If you want a female Bond, start a new series.
Why do you care about a fake character from fake stories? Why does it matter?
Entertainment? Some of us read books, comics, history. Some have done this for decades. Maybe we need to burn or re-write these too?
You can still watch and read those versions, right? Why does a new iteration matter? Don’t watch it. It’s pretty simple. To be offended by it is weird.
Liberals are insufferable.
You people are too quick to judge. For all we know, she could be playing a male character.
She could be playing one of the bad guys too ... 😂
Here’s the problem with the extreme left: they will push their agenda across all aspects of society under the battle banner of “progressiveness” to the point where logic and reason are thrown out the window and anything traditional is challenged with fierce hatred and opposition
Oh the great culture wars. Is there anything more boring and insufferable?
She’s playing a new character called 007, Daniel Craig is starring in the movie as James Bond.
Is the 007 character supposed to be the same person, but a telling/retelling of his stories or is 007 a replacement of the prior 007’s after they die/retire?
Also, what’s it matter as long as the actor remains true to character (mostly, since 007’s demeanor has changed a lot over different actors)? James Bond, 007, British Spy, Martinis, Womanizer... I don’t see how gender matters here.
Is the next Bond a womanizer too? I wonder how that trait of Bond will be depicted?
They changed M and went back. They tried to make Bond more serious and meta. It's not really working at making the movies repeat-watchable, but they still aren't able to figure out why!
Lmfao. I see another Ghostbusters coming.
Or Men in Black.
The Ghostbusters debacle really ticked me off. The movie was derivative and unremarkable, but people hyped it to hell and back as groundbreaking because it starred women. Meanwhile Annihilation also started an all women main cast, was well written, original, and compelling but got zero "you go girl" brownie points because there was no outrage. The whole thing made me cynical about how Hollywood, feminism, and the press interact. Though I could just be naive from the start.
