Even more fun when someone cuts you off to get into an exit only lane, realizes they don't want to exit, and you block them forcing them to exit

Merging is legally the responsibility of the driver changing lanes. Other drivers have no legal obligation to make room for you. It's purely a courtesy if they do.
Driving every day I don’t feels like people around actually understand this, more like they feel entitlement to merge when they want where they want how they want. This becomes especially notorious when their lane ends and they just drive into you sideways like you are not even there.
