Travel destinations in the US in December

Hi, Looking for a budget friendly travel destinations in the US in December. Can't go outside the US due to visa issues. If the place is warm, that would be preferred. Here is what I have researched till know: 1) Hawaii ( expensive) 2) Miami Please suggest from your experiences.

Exactly in same boat. LA San Diego, Palm springs, some parts of Arizona, Utah, Georgia, South Carolina

Georgia/south Carolina, really?

Apple Malparido Dec 8, 2017

I like San Diego!

Microsoft Bakabaka OP Dec 8, 2017

That's an option but kind of want to explore farther destinations maybe on the east coast to make better use of the 2-3weeks time.

You have Texas, Florida, Louisiana, and maybe Charleston SC. Anywhere north would be more cold.

New Orleans will be warm, not as busy and get God VFM. Good nightlife and also a bunch of outdoor activities to do. Jazz scene 😍. Except you never know when weather will turn around and it'd rain. Take a chance.

Thanks will look it up.😊

Budget from where? :)

Microsoft Bakabaka OP Dec 8, 2017

Budget as in cheaper than a Hawaii trip. If its more expensive than Hawaii, I would just go to Hawaii instead.

I just went to Austin late November and the weather was absolutely perfect. Food, nature and live music are amazing and there’s also a lot of quirky only in austin type of tourist spots as well. Incredibly cheap air bnb and costs in general..

Thanks. Will look into it. 😊

Mexico is nice. You can use revalidation to get back without needing a visa stamping

Microsoft Bakabaka OP Dec 8, 2017

This sounds interesting and great if it's true. Know this from personal experience?

Apple Bnhjk56 Dec 8, 2017

Yes works well but high chances of getting stuck in secondary processing for 1-2hours though they let you through eventually

Scottsdale+Phoenix/Sedona/Flagstaff The ability to experience many microclimates due to the elevation from Scottsdale to Flagstaff. Awesome views & activities.
