Can anyone provide more insight into the current environment at Uber? What’s the career growth opportunity? Benefits? Tech Stack? Compensation? Culture? Best and Worst Teams to join?
Do they allow WFH policy?
Most teams just let you WFH if you send WFH email
Nice! Thanks for the info
It always good
How much culture really change post-TK?
It's all good!
I honestly love it here. There are so many exciting problems to work. The WLB is much better now!
How long have you been at Uber?
Close to 3 yrs
Good culture. The old problems I think have been ironed out real fast. Benefits are okay but remember it’s a non-profitable startup. Compensation should be decent. Interesting problems to solve. Great energy and enthusiasm. Great talent. I feel it’s the best company I have worked at even though I have worked at half a dozen top SIlicon valley companies.
Great! How easy is it to transfer from team to team and job family?
Actually internal transfers is something that was addressed last year when we did a lot of internal improvements, and I've heard it's pretty great now but haven't actually done it myself so can't speak to it too much
Find some people in your network that have left Uber and some that have joined. Don’t trust anonymous posters on the Internet with your career decisions. There are a bunch of Uber shill accounts (I know at least one recruiter) on here. Three people above responded identically “it’s all good”. If things sound to good to be true ...
