I think the management chain should be responsible and they should cut the millions they get as compensation, rather than targeting low level engineers

Hahahahaha...you serious? Travis was(before he got kicked out) the poster child of entitlement and douchebagerry in SV, you really think a culture founded on that gives a crap about its low level peons?

Managers make sure everybody under them suffers before they suffer. They rather are skilled at protecting each other.

What's wrong with Uber eats? Of all delivery apps, I like Uber eats the most.

The layoffs in my org have been almost all managers and TLMs. They are flattening the org structure to reduce the excessive management and process overhead. Allegedly. Tough day. At least they let those who were let go say goodbye and finish out the day this time, which is better than "disappearing" those affected.

Folks who laid off already made good money on stocks. Now it’s time for vacation before finding another job
    Sep 10 4
    • Facebook Pack-Man
Just because they made money that doesn’t mean they can be laid off.

Tough when you're in their situation and have bills to pay, and a family to provide for. Even worse if you're on a work visa and may need to gtfo if you cannot find employment quickly.
      Sep 10
    • GE eifa03
Folks in visa, yes it’s tough. But market is soo good. I myself on visa got laid off and nailed multiple offers last year. The migraine headaches, oh man, unbearable when we have 60 days to find a job

I see lot of folks are trying to give referrals which is good. But don’t they need to go same Leetcode shit and for which they need at least couple months of practice?
