VMware Staff Engineer offer Evaluation
Base: 215K Bonus: 20% RSU: 160K over 4 years Joining Bonus: 25K Experience: 16 years. 1. Is this a good offer to take ? 2. Where does this stand against Amazon, FB, Google and Linkedin ?
This is an average E4 TC. Non senior.
Solid base probably on par with medium/top staff offers, but the RSU amount is sad.

Can some VMware guys comment on whether this is good as per Vmware standards ?
This is very high end staff for vmware. Is this for staff 2 or staff 1?

You sure it’s staff1? Staff1 bonus is 17%. Staff2 bonus is 20%. So if you are getting 20% bonus it should be staff2
16 years and this? You deserve better. E5 at facebook beats this. You could get e6 if you do well. C’mon don’t settle for this shit pay (okay if you want to jump ship again).

Why not join Nutanix if you want to be in storage domain. Nutanix can easily beat this offer at Staff level.
Are you sure ? I have couple of friends in Nutanix. Nutanix is no where near these numbers
With Nutanix stocks reaching 50 bucks even new grads are making same amount as you in RSUs.
This is super low offer.. with 16 yrs exp, you should be at least Director @FANG or else you failed your life

Base is good, RSUs are sad as usual (comparing with other companies). For VMW standards, this is pretty decent.
