What are some good SW teams/products at Apple?
Thinking of Apple as mid/long term. Since work and culture within teams/products vary within a big company it would nice to know which of them standout. Good teams as in positive and hard working co-workers. Good product as in having a high ceiling for learning and a decent product roadmap. Looking for backend work building APIs.
Working closely with CVML and Turi, both of them are quite good in vision and engineering strength, not sure about the culture in team though. I’ve worked with Siri teams with jerks, but also with pleasant experience, so maybe luck.
Many of the SWE Development orgs are good like CoreOS, Networking, Security etc. Very talented and motivated engineers.
New Private Cloud teams in Services related to compute, Storage and Databases are also good.
Siri/Services/ML are good. Some Watch teams are okay. IS&T and SWE Programs are hell on Earth
Isn’t Siri also ML? Or is there a different ML-only (infrastructure) group?
