I got to know that the base is 100k. Is it not less for San Diego and that too like a brand name of Qualcomm? Any ways to negotiate this with recruiter? I've a past experience of 2+ year but before masters.
Oh thats strange. I never knew it's very good. So, what's the cost of living there? OTOH, the package is same for Santa Clara and San Diego. So I thought that San Diego is as expensive as Santa Clara.
It’s low for the Bay Area for sure. But San Diego cost is significantly lower especially housing
I think it's good pay for SDiego. Qcom doesn't give much of a geo adjustment. So your pay is more or less same. The pay for senior engineer is close to 125k. So 100k seems like a good pay for Qcom.
Sure. I was just having that comparison with other yeah companies (VMWARE, eBay, PayPal, etc.) who usually pay 120k for any new grad. Compared to those when I heard 100k, it definitely sounded lesser. I still need to check if they pay higher in the bay area.
Btw my numbers are for HW engineer.
$100k is very good for San Diego. Lot cheaper than bay
