What's the upper limit of Google's L4 offer?
If you have a competing offer elsewhere which is L5 400k TC how close could Google match it with an L4 offer?

Yes they can match if they want to. Now that L4 is “terminal” level at google the TC band is wider at the top

TC for L4 maxes out at 310 or so. Though you might be able to negotiate a large sign on bonus. They might throw in a 50k-80k sign-on to get you close to 400k for year 1.

You probably won't get a true match unless you re-interview for L5 at Google. I would just take the other offer.

They can match if they really like you or the company that made the other offer
