Do you recommend it? Do you have it? If so what's the advantage?? If not, where do you put your money for retirement?
If you have any dependents whether it is a SO or kids of financially dependent close relatives, life insurance is a vehicle to ensure that they can continue to be taken care of in the event of your untimely demise. It’s completely up to you to determine how much if any life insurance you need to leave your loved ones
A term insurance is a no-brainer.
Are we talking about the basic one offered by your company? I have mine at 500k.. do people with kids set more?
2MM personally, and employer covers one matching my TC. Not paranoid, but have a lot sunk into partner launching her business that is contingent on support for a few more years as we scale it up, so if I were to kick the bucket she would need enough coverage to hire help until she can either liquidate and exit or continue scaling it on her own.
Don't give people any reasons to kill you OP. Just not worth it. I recommend spending that retirement money right away. As far as kids are concerned, I think it's safe to use their college loans to finance a vacation or two if you can.
the level of paranoia...
Geez, you laugh much my friend? That's the best life insurance.
It's to die for
Do you have people you love that rely on you?
